Things I learned over Christmas

Barry Norman has his own brand of pickled onions. And the website is called Pickleodeon.co.uk. Punny!

Train journeys are never simple, especially when they turn into coach journeys.

Birmingham International is a boring place to try and waste over an hour.

Christmas songs, on the whole, disgust me. Christmas hymns are generally better.

London is unseasonably warm in December, yet people act like they are in the middle of an Arctic winter.

Trying to get a new mobile phone delivered over Christmas is like getting the Pope to renounce Catholicism.

Using the word ponce will always be funny, using the word hornage is never amusing. (Rob, take note!)

Gloating

I've done all my Christmas shopping!! I know, I'm amazing... In the last few years I've always had to wait until after my December exams to shop, and trawling round the shops in the three or four days before going home is not much fun really. I hate shopping, but this was almost pain free. I've even started writing my Christmas cards, and I hope I'll get them finished on the train to the City of Dreams (London, obviously) on Friday. Now I can relax and enjoy my time in London this weekend.

Ok, I'm done gloating...
